Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Additional Secretary General Awn Chaudhry clarified the circumstances surrounding the reception of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during a party meeting on Sunday. Awn Chaudhry’s presence at the meetings was noteworthy, as he clarified to the party leadership, “The reception for Nawaz Sharif was a personal initiative, based on his personal connections with the Sharif brothers.”
The meetings, held in Lahore between IPP patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen and party leaders, led to the decision to assign Farrukh Habib a significant role within the party. The discussions with Farrukh Habib mainly revolved around party affairs, ultimately resulting in the decision to grant him a pivotal role within the party. Additionally, the IPP conducted important deliberations, including a meeting between Fawad Chaudhry and Jahangir Tareen, where they discussed upcoming political agendas.
In a related development, Pashtun Social Community (PSC) Punjab President Muhammad Sher Khan decided to join the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) after a meeting with IPP General Secretary Mian Khalid Mehmood. Khalid Mehmood welcomed Sher Khan by presenting him with the party muffler. Previously, the IPP had sought clarification from Awn Chaudhry regarding his reception of Nawaz Sharif.
