Former federal minister and senior politician Fawad Chaudhry was arrested in Islamabad, according to his family. Fawad’s brother reported that law enforcement officers detained the former PTI leader at his residence in the country’s federal capital.
Hiba Chaudhry, the wife of former Imran Khan’s close aide, also posted on social media, confirming Fawad’s arrest and expressing concern about his undisclosed whereabouts. This marks the second time the outspoken politician has been detained, with the first instance occurring earlier this year when he openly criticized the former government’s alleged plot to detain Imran Khan.
The family members are currently unaware of the location to which Fawad has been transferred and the reasons for his arrest.
