The PTA Revokes Wi-Tribe’s License Due to Non-Compliance with Terms & Conditions Because of Non-compliance With The Regulations And Terms, The PTA Has Suspended Its Registration

Furthermore, PTA has given directives to all cellular mobile licensees, Long Distance & International, Local Loop (WLL & FLL), and CVAS licensees to cease providing telecommunication services to Wi-Tribe under their licenses and file a compliance report within three working days after the order was given.

The PTA panel, which was led by Major General Amir Azeem Bajwa (R), received a show-cause order from the Wi-Tribe Pakistan Ltd. After that, the prime minister decided to terminate Wi-Tribe’s services immediately.

The decision was made in accordance with the license condition that states the licensee will not cease providing licensed services or a class of such services until at least three months before such action is taken.

According to the license terms and conditions, the basic service contract must provide refunds or other rebates for any sort of service issue experienced by the ISP. As a result, after PTA revoked this internet service provider’s license due to its practice of shutting down telecom services to clients without any responsibility on their part.
