Pakistani Rupee Gains Ground in Interbank Trading After Weekend
The Pakistani rupee showed an upward trend in the interbank market as trading resumed after the weekend. In the early hours, the local currency reached 286.10, marking an increase of Rs0.40.
On Friday, the PKR ended its losing streak by closing the week Rs0.53 higher at 286.50. The rebound in the Pakistani rupee follows a four-week decline, influenced by the outcome of the International Monetary Fund’s first review of the $3 billion Stand-by Arrangement (SBA).
