Pakistan Defeats New Zealand by 21 Runs with Fakhar Zaman’s Record-Breaking Century

In a crucial match at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, Pakistan secured a 21-run victory over New Zealand, thanks to a remarkable batting performance by Fakhar Zaman.

Zaman, aged 33, achieved the fastest century by a Pakistani batter in the history of the ODI World Cup. He completed his century in just 63 balls during the 20th over while Pakistan was chasing a formidable target of 402 runs against New Zealand.

The aggressive batsman reached this milestone with a total of nine sixes and six boundaries, showcasing his power-hitting skills. This achievement set a new record, surpassing the previous record held by Saleem Malik, a feat accomplished nearly four decades ago.

Furthermore, Fakhar Zaman’s exceptional performance allowed him to break Imran Nazir’s record for the most sixes in a single World Cup innings by a Pakistani player, adding another feather to his cap.
