Shahbaz’s arrest: Opposition parties protest outside Parliament

Opposition parties are staging the protest outside Parliament House over the arrest of Shahbaz Sharif. Members of opposition parties are chanting slogans against the Punjab government.

Members of the alliance led by former National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq gathered outside the Parliament House and protested the arrest of the younger Sharif brother.

PML-N leader Rana Tanveer Hussain, addressing the protest, condemned the arrest and said Shehbaz Sharif served Punjab to the best of his capabilities. “The entire world praised Shehbaz’s work and acknowledged his good governance.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced that the parliamentarians of opposition parties will hold a protest outside the Parliament House on Thursday afternoon, following the government’s failure to honour their request for calling a National Assembly session to debate the “unjustified arrest” of Leader of Opposition in NA Shahbaz Sharif by the NAB authorities.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme scam on Oct 5.
