Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated the government’s commitment to construct water reservoirs and improve water management in the country by involving all stakeholders.
He was talking to Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda who along with Chairman WAPDA Muzammil Hussain called on him in Islamabad.
They apprised the Prime Minister of the water situation in the country and measures being taken by the Ministry and WAPDA to overcome water shortage.
The Prime Minister said building dams is a national cause and the whole nation should come forth and play an active role in this regard.
He said people across the country and abroad have been enthusiastically making donations for both Diamer Basha and Mohmand dams.
Imran Khan appreciated the efforts being made by the Ministry of Water Resource, and WAPDA for addressing the looming water crisis in the country.
