Global Protests for Palestine: TLP Rally in Islamabad
Amid the ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip and global protests in support of Palestinians, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), a right-wing party, is making its way to the capital as part of these demonstrations. The party, which has previously encountered legal challenges due to violent protests, announced a rally for November 5 to express solidarity with the people of Palestine.
Today, party members gathered at the Faizabad bridge and initiated the “million march,” advancing towards the capital in caravans. To ensure security and prevent violence, the authorities have sealed off the Red Zone in Islamabad entirely, and containers have been placed to block routes leading to the Red Zone. Around the capital, thousands of security personnel have been deployed, and anti-riot and FC personnel are stationed along the routes to this high-security zone.
