Commemorative Rs75 Note Revealed by SBP to Mark 75 Years of Independence

On August 14, 2022, state bank of Pakistan issued Rs75 note design to mark the diamond jubilee of Pakistan. The note will be issued for public use on September 30, 2022.

Pakistan celebrated its diamond jubilee on August 14, 2022. State bank of Pakistan marked this day by revealing the design of Rs75 note that has a portrait of Quid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, and Fatima Jinnah to recognize their efforts and contribution to the independence of Pakistan.

The note has a picture of Markhor highlighting “environmental sustainability”. However, Rs75 note is printed in green and white color, the same color as the Pakistani flag.

“The color scheme, portraits, vignettes along with public service message were conceived by the internal banknote committee at the State Bank of Pakistan and integrated into a final banknote design by the banknote designers at De La Rue, United Kingdom.” SBP board stated.

The federal government has approved the note under the central bank’s board recommendation and SBP act 1956. However, the note will have many security features including Quaid-e-Azam’s portrait watermark, 75 numerals, holographic rainbow effect, 75 numerals in Urdu, state bank of Pakistan logo, and micro-lettering of 75 numerals, and more. For banknote identification by the visually impaired, it has portraits and numerals in form of raised ink.
